Deployment

The physical installation of an appliance is easy and fast. You can deploy any SecurActive appliances by using 2 distinct ways.

Via A Switch:

Connecting the probe can be done in a similar way to LAN or DMZ standard hardware products. This type of connection will need the availability of two switch ports per SecurActive probe. The customer has to configure one of these two ports in port mirroring to re-direct the network traffic to the probe.

Via A Tap:

The connection to a probe's listening port can be done through a device that will enable connection of two network segments and reproduce traffic on these two network segments towards the third port which the probe is connected to. Please note that each « Tap » device type implies an extra cost.
